FROM IDENTIFICATION TO PICKUP

Plan your used engine enquiry

If your repair shop has identified an engine or engine component to replace, bring that description into the conversation with the yard. These checks help you compare the part being offered with the repair you are planning.

1. Identify the engine and the job

   Have the year, make, model, engine size and fuel type ready. Ask your installer which identification code or original part number is needed. Say whether you need a complete engine, a cylinder head, an intake manifold or another component.

2. Agree on what is included

   Ask the yard to describe the exact engine or component being quoted and any attached accessories included in that price. Review that list with your installer so neither the price nor a photograph is treated as a promise about the complete repair.

3. Confirm the candidate before pickup

   Ask what condition information is available for that specific part, and confirm price and any applicable return, warranty or core-charge terms. Have your installer check the proposed match, then arrange collection with the yard before travelling.
